Ikebana Vase

This vase set is hand thrown from speckled earthenware clay, and fully finished with a transparent glaze. The light dotting appearance comes from the clay speckles naturally showing through. The set is inspired by the traditional Japanese flower arranging. The bowl holds water, while the middle piece is used for arranging. The two pieces are separate, allowing for easy cleaning. Suitable for fresh or dried flowers.

"Ikebana is a type of flower arrangement that originated and remains traditional in Japan. The concept and art of Ikebana require you to place a scarce variety of blooms in a vase. You’re not placing a whole bouquet; you’re going for a minimalist approach intended to highlight and showcase the beauty of the lucky blossoms that were ultimately chosen."
